Arrival by car
Private transportation is permitted only to Täsch. You'll find sufficient car parking spaces in Täsch on which to park your private vehicle.
The last approx. 4 kilometres to Zermatt can be completed on a shuttle train operated by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Bahn (runs every 20 minutes), alternatively there are taxi buses in Täsch that will take you to Zermatt.
Once you have arrived in Zermatt, you will find the valley station of the Gornergrat Bahn situated directly next to the railway station. During the brief 23-minute trip you will pass by tranquil stone pine forests and fragrant Alpine meadows as you travel up onto the Riffelberg.
